Educational Philosophy

The three basic ideas that drive Roseville School's educational philosophy are (1) integral (all-round) formation; (2) personalized attention; and (3) the responsibility of parents as their children's primary character educators. These ideas are drawn from the teachings of St. Josemaría Escrivá.

Integral (all-round) formation encompasses the intellectual, technical, cultural, physical, social and spiritual development of the individual.  As a result, in addition to learning the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the workforce, students are also encouraged to develop strong Christian beliefs that will enable them to live logical Christian lives and make meaningful contributions to their families, Nigerian society, and the larger community.

Personalized attention with emphasis on the word "persons" refers to the Christian conception of man as a creature of God, and this is the source of her human dignity and rights.  There is a strong advisory system where each student is assigned an advisor who monitors her behaviour, academic and professional orientation.

As the primary responsibility for a child's education is with their parents, thus, cooperation and partnership between the family and the school are crucial to ensuring the student's holistic development, which enables her to fulfill her potential and steers her actions in the right directions.
